The Human Phenome Institute (HuPI) was founded in July 2017 as an independent research organization in the Fudan University. The HuPI leads the International Human Phenome Project (Phase 1) with support from the first Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Special Funds for Major Projects, serves the significant demands of launching large international science projects by China and building a major world center for science and innovation in Shanghai, and is one of the key pillars of “One Plan and Two Centers” top-level design by the Zhangjiang-Fudan International Innovation Center.
