Representatives of Fudan University Led by Vice President Li Jin visited Tohoku University and National Center for Child Health and Development.

From Jan. 21th-25th2019, Vice president of Fudan University, Prof. Li Jin and other representatives visited Tohoku University and National Center for Child Health and Development (NCCHD) and discussed the academic collaboration.

On Jan. 22th2019, the representatives of Fudan University paid the visit to Tohoku University, and discussed with Executive Vice President Ueki, Vice President Yamaguchi and Professors from Tohoku University. Vice President Jin introduced phenome research led by Fudan University, and ToMMo Executive Director Yamamoto introduced genome research and cohort studies in ToMMo.

Afterwards, the representatives of Fudan University visited the Supercomputer system, Sendai Community Support Center, sequencing facility, Bio-bank and NMR room, as well as the Memorial Hall of Lu Xun in Tohoku University.

On Jan. 24th2019, the representatives of Fudan University visited National Center for Child Health and Development (NCCHD). They had the discussion with President Takashi Igarashi, Director General Yasuo Kiryu, Director of Research Institute Yoichi Matsubara, Deputy Director of Research Institute Akihiro Umezawa, and the Professors from NCCHD. Previously, the MOU had been signed between Fudan University and NCCHD, and further collaboration is expected.

Then the representatives of Fudan University took a tour in NCCHD with the companion of Deputy Director, Prof. Akihiro Umezawa and Director of Division of Radiation Safety, Prof. Xiao-Kang Li.

Prof. Yi Wang, Director of Hospital Management Office, Prof. Jiucun Wang, Director of the Department of Anthropology and Human Genetics, and other 3 colleagues also visited Tohoku University and NCCHD together.
