 Work Experience

Dr. Jun Chang acquired PhD degree on organic chemistry from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2002, and joined SIMM as an assistant professor from 2002 to 2006. During 2004-2006, he worked as postdoctoral research associate in the University of Illinois at Chicago. From 2006 to 2009, he worked as a senior research director in the pharmaceutical company. From May 2009, Dr. Chang worked as assistant professor in Fudan University, and was promoted to associate professor in 2013. He was transferred to Human Phenome Institute as vice Dean in 2019.

Research Interests

Dr. Jun Chang focused on the research of pharmacophenomics, and the design, synthesis and druggability of small molecule tumor immunotherapy drugs. He has published more than 50 research papers, and applied for 21 domestic patents, 3 PCT patents, in which 13 patents have been authorized. He was the important inventor of the class 1.1 innovative anti-tumor drug Sinotecan (Chinese patent: ZL03142241.1), which was approved for clinical research (2011L00694,2011L00695) in 2011.

 Awards

He won the second prize of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Award (ranked 3rd) in 2012.
