 Work Experience

Dr. Chen graduated from Shandong University in 2006 with a B.S. in Preventive Medicine and in 2009 with a M.S. in Epidemiology, and then obtained Ph.D. in Genetics from Fudan University in 2012. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Karolinska Institute in Sweden from 2013 to 2015 and at Fudan University from 2016 to 2019. Dr. Chen joined Fudan University Taizhou Institute of Health Sciences as a vice director since 2015. He had successively served as peer reviewer of several Journals, such as International Journal of epidemiology, Alzheimer’s & Dementia, and International Journal of cancer.

Dr. Chen is responsible for the daily operation, scientific research design, External cooperation and management of biobank and databases of the Taizhou Longitudinal Study (TZL), and carried on epidemiological and phenotypic studies based on the cohort resources for. He served as PI in several scientific research projects, such as the National Key R&D Projects, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 863 Program, Ministry of Science and Technology, Science and Technology Projects of Jiangsu Province and Shanghai City, with a total of nearly 20 million research funds.

  Research Interests

With research field focusing on Cohort construction, Molecular Epidemiology and Genetics of chronic diseases, Dr. Chen is fully in charge of the operation of Taizhou Longitudinal Study, involving all the scientific collaborations and data sharing.
